NanOX 4 Kidney – a new generation kidney perfusion fluid based on a synthetiz oxygen carrier
NanoSanguis, a subsidiary of NanoGroup, is implementing the NanOX 4 Kidney project – a new generation kidney perfusion fluid based on a synthetic oxygen carrier, co-financed by the European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027 program under measure 1.1 SMART path, grant agreement number FENG.01.01-IP.02-1136/24.
The aim of the project is to develop and evaluate, in the setting of a clinical study, an innovative kidney perfusion fluid based on a synthetic oxygen carrier.
The following tasks will be carried out as part of the project:
- development and verification of the NanOX 4 Kidney fluid,
- conducting ex vivo and in vivo studies,
- construction of a GMP-compliant fluid production facility,
- implementation of preclinical studies in accordance with required standards,
- conducting clinical trials.
The project is particularly important for patients awaiting kidney transplants in Poland and worldwide. The new technology will enable:
- improving the quality of preserved organs,
- extending their safe transportation and preservation time.
As a result, more kidneys will be available for transplantation, increasing patients’ chances of successful transplantation.
