From idea to commercialization: NanoGroup and A4BEE at the InternanoPoland 2024 conference

During the InternanoPoland 2024 conference in Katowice, Julia Zakrzewska from NanoGroup and Łukasz Paciorkowski and Maciej Gaik from A4BEE presented a fascinating process of development and commercialization of medical inventions, based on the example of the NanOX system. This presentation was not only an opportunity to present groundbreaking technologies, but also to have a broader discussion about the state of medical innovation and the future of science in Poland.

One of the main goals of the NanOX system is to increase the availability of organs for transplantation, which could revolutionize transplantology. Thanks to modern technologies such as NanOX, research in this field is taking on a new dimension.

Imagine a blood-like fluid using nanotechnology and a device that simulates the functions of the human body. This not only allows the organ to be kept alive for transplantation, but also supports its regeneration. In the future, this will allow the treatment of organs before their transplantation. This is a reality that we are working on – said Julia Zakrzewska during the conference.

NanOX is a unique system for organ storage and perfusion,

which can significantly increase the number of organs available for transplantation and increase the effectiveness of the operations themselves. In their presentation titled “Case Study on Commercialization of the NanOX Transplantation System,” the experts discussed how this system, developed by NanoGroup in collaboration with A4BEE, is getting closer to commercialization.

During the presentation, the speakers emphasized that the success of medical inventions depends not only on the knowledge of researchers, but also on strategic partnerships that provide stable financing and support the transformation of innovative ideas into real products ready for the market.

– Thanks to the work of the team led by Wojciech Frąckowiak, we are taking further steps towards transforming the vision into reality. A4BEE as a technology partner supports NanoGroup in the commercialization of the NanOX system, and the third prototype of the NanOX Recovery Box device has already passed operational tests. The next stage will be to prepare the device for certification! – said Łukasz Paciorkowski from A4BEE.

We thank the organizers of InternanoPoland for the excellent organization and world-class level of the conference. The mission of transforming transplantology continues – keep your fingers crossed!
