Nanoporous Membranes for Intrathecal (Pseudo)Delivery of Drugs (INTREPIDUS)

ENM3/IV/1/INTREPIDUS/2021, Agreement signed on: 17.12.2021

Between 2021 and 2024, NanoSanguis implemented the project titled “Nanoporous Membranes for Intrathecal (Pseudo)Delivery of Drugs” (INTREPIDUS).

The project was carried out as part of a European consortium and, at the national level, in partnership with the Warsaw University of Technology. The project focused on developing a device capable of removing β-amyloid from cerebrospinal fluid—a substance whose accumulation is associated with the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

NanoSanguis was responsible for modifying the membrane surfaces to reduce biofouling and evaluating their permeability for molecular-level applications.

Project value: PLN 957,515.84
Funding amount:
PLN 849,503.74

The project was co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) under the EuroNanoMed III Joint Transnational Call for Proposals (2020) for “European Innovative Research & Technological Development Projects in Nanomedicine.”
