NanOX Recovery Box undergoes operational testing of new prototype – a key step in the development of a device that could revolutionize transplantology

NanoGroup S.A. is currently conducting operational tests of the latest prototype of the NanOX Recovery Box – an innovative device for storing and perfusing organs intended for transplantation. This is another, extremely important stage in the development of this breakthrough technology, aimed at improving the quality and extending the storage time of organs. The tests are taking place at the Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Jabłonna, under the supervision of experienced specialists.

NanOX Recovery Box is a breakthrough in transplant medicine – the device, developed by Polish scientists from NanoGroup, enables advanced control of vital organ functions in conditions that are similar to natural physiological processes. The latest version of the prototype, which uses standardized components and the latest technological procedures, was created in cooperation with the Wrocław company A4BEE, specializing in the design of modern medical devices.

– NanOX Recovery Box is not only a device for storing organs – it is an advanced system that monitors their vital functions in a much more advanced way than any other available solution
– explains Prof. Maciej Kosieradzki, Ph. n. med., from the Medical University of Warsaw, emphasizing the uniqueness of this phase of research.
– Thanks to this, we can provide better storage conditions, which can significantly increase the pool of organs for transplantation, including from donors who have not previously qualified for organ donation– adds the expert.

Wet tests – another milestone in technology development

The operational tests, known as “wet,” are performed on isolated pig kidneys in controlled conditions that simulate the actual transplant environment. For 12 hours, the device monitors and regulates key parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, and oxygenation, as well as ensuring adequate perfusion fluid flow through the organ.

Successfully reproducing our device in A4BEE laboratories is an important development step on the path to device certification. The next development step will be to develop a production version of the device, prepare full certification documentation and submit an application for certification. Commercialization of this solution, combined with our innovative NanOX 4Kidney perfusion fluid, may change the future of transplantology worldwide. – dodaje Przemysław Mazurek, prezes zarządu NanoGroup S.A.

NanOX Recovery Box is the future of transplant medicine, the device can not only extend the storage time of organs, but also opens up new possibilities in increasing the number of organs available for transplantation.
