The problem of transplantation – at least in the case of the kidney

“The problem of transplantation – at least in the case of the kidney – is that there is still no definitively established one or more biomarkers that would show 100 percent that this kidney is functioning or not. There are different studies, different parameters are taken into account, but none is definitive. On the other hand, we have a great deal of data that we can interpret in different ways, apply different statistical methods – more or less advanced – and draw a great deal of new conclusions from it. In this way we can improve the whole perfusion protocol and transplantation procedure.” – he says in an interview with portal cowzdrowiu.pl dr. hab.
