NanoSanguis S.A., a NanoGroup company, has signed an agreement for funding from the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) program in the amount of PLN 22,760,796.26. The funds will be fully allocated to the NanOX 4 Kidney project.

The awarded grant is a powerful gas pedal for our technology, which aims to revolutionize the process of storing and transporting kidneys for transplantation. The NanOX 4 Kidney project aims to develop an innovative kidney perfusion fluid based on a synthetic oxygen carrier. Its main goal is to significantly improve the quality of stored organs and extend their transport time before transplantation.

The conclusion of the agreement crowns nearly a year-long process of obtaining the grant. NanoSanguis was among a handful of companies in the field of human biotechnology that received funding in the latest round of the FENG call. A total of only 101 applications out of 1,081 submitted received funding. We regard the awarding of a grant of this value as confirmation of the technological and market potential of the project, but also as a positive assessment of the company’s organizational and financial capacity to implement it.

The grant received provides funding for development work up to the certification stage of NanOX 4 Kidney fluid and strengthens NanoGroup’s position as a developer of breakthrough solutions in the field of biotechnology.
