NanoSanguis S.A.: Innovative Bioadsorbers Selected for Funding
NanoSanguis S.A., a subsidiary of NanoGroup S.A., has been awarded funding for the implementation of its “Innovative Bioadsorbers” project. The grant amounts to 6,859,253.16 PLN.
The funding application, reference number FENG.01.01-IP.02-0453/26, was selected for support under the SMART Pathway of the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) programme. The project received 14 points under the scored assessment criteria, and NanoSanguis was among three biotechnology companies whose projects were awarded funding.
The “Innovative Bioadsorbers” project involves the development of advanced bioadsorption technology, forming part of the innovative biotechnological and medical solutions being developed by NanoSanguis and NanoGroup. The technology is based on an aptamer platform acquired by NanoGroup from Pure Biologics S.A. in June 2026.
Bioadsorbers are solutions that use the ability of appropriately engineered materials to selectively capture specific substances from biological fluids. The development of this type of technology opens up opportunities for applications in advanced medical and biotechnological fields.
The awarded funding will enable research and development activities to continue through to the conclusion of a partnering agreement.
The project represents another step in NanoGroup’s efforts to build a portfolio of advanced medical and biotechnological technologies. This strategy has included the acquisition from Pure Biologics S.A. of complete, unrestricted rights and patents to its aptamer discovery and production platform. The funding secured represents an important step towards the commercialisation of this technology.
